तं दृष्ट्वा वानरा घोरं स्थितं शैलमिवापरम्।गाढं परिहितास्सर्वे दृष्ट्वा तान्पर्वतोपममान्।।।।
taṃ dṛṣṭvā vānarā ghoraṃ sthitaṃ śailam ivāparam |
gāḍhaṃ parihitāḥ sarve dṛṣṭvā tān parvatopamān ||
群猿见那可怖者屹立如另一座山,皆紧束精神、严阵以待;而他见他们亦如山岳般雄强,便稳稳当当地与之相对而立。
Seeing the monkeys, the infuriated demon ran towards them, raising his fist firmly, saying, 'You are all as good as dead, now that I have caught you.'
Dharma includes preparedness: when danger arises, one should stand united and steady rather than panic—especially while serving a collective righteous aim.
The Vānara group and the demon confront each other; the monkeys tense and ready themselves for conflict.
