达沙拉陀王常在大地上敬重一切具足德行的诸王。而他的长子罗摩,名闻三界,已来到猴王苏格利瓦前,求其庇护。
'Famous in all the three worlds, this Rama, who was the firshborn of Dasaratha, endowed with all virtues and ever respected by all the kings of this earth, now seeks shelter of Sugriva, Chief of monkeys.
The same dharmic appeal as 4.4.22: refuge should be granted to the righteous and renowned, especially when they approach openly and lawfully.
A repeated/continued metrical unit reinforcing Hanuman’s persuasive introduction of Rama to Sugriva.
Rama’s reputation joined to humility; Sugriva is positioned to show dharmic generosity and alliance.
