Condemnation of Ingratitude and Admonition of Sugriva
na ca saṅkucitaḥ panthā yena vālī hato gataḥ |

Seeing enraged Lakshmana, son of Dasaratha, sighing heavily, glowing like bright fire burning with the sorrow of Rama, Sugriva jumped out of his seat quitting the decorated golden throne just as Indra's decorated banner is raised up suddenly.
Samaya-pālana (keeping one’s covenant) is dharma; breaking pledged terms leads to the same ruin that befell Vāli.
Lakṣmaṇa warns Sugrīva that death is an open and immediate consequence if he fails to honor the alliance promise.
Reliability in agreements—political power must be governed by truth and commitment.
