कृतघ्ननिन्दा तथा सुग्रीवप्रबोधनम्
Condemnation of Ingratitude and Admonition of Sugriva
कृतं चेन्नाभिजानीषे रामस्याक्लिष्टकर्मणः।सद्यस्त्वं निशितैर्भावार्हतो द्रक्ष्यसि वालिनम्।।।।
kṛtaṃ cen nābhijānīṣe rāmasyākliṣṭa-karmaṇaḥ |
sadyas tvaṃ niśitaiḥ bāṇair hato drakṣyasi vālinam ||
若你不肯承认罗摩——其行无碍——为你所作之事,那么你将立刻在彼世见到被锐箭所杀的婆梨。
Seeing enraged Lakshmana, son of Dasaratha, sighing heavily, glowing like bright fire burning with the sorrow of Rama, Sugriva jumped out of his seat quitting the decorated golden throne just as Indra's decorated banner is raised up suddenly.
Dharma includes consequence for betrayal of obligation: refusing to honor truth and gratitude invites swift punishment in the moral order upheld by Rāma’s side.
Lakṣmaṇa escalates from rebuke to a direct warning: continued neglect of the pact will bring lethal retribution.
Steadfastness to justice—Lakṣmaṇa represents uncompromising enforcement of pledged duty.
