त्रिशङ्कुशापः
Trishanku’s Curse and Appeal to Viśvāmitra
तेषां तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा क्रोधपर्याकुलाक्षरम्।।।।स राजा पुनरेवैतानिदं वचनमब्रवीत्।
teṣāṃ tad vacanaṃ śrutvā krodha-paryākulākṣaram |
sa rājā punar evaitān idaṃ vacanam abravīt ||
听到他们的话语——在怒火翻涌中连音节都显得紊乱——那位国王又再次对他们说道:
Having heard the confused words uttered by the sages in a state of anger, the king said again:
It warns that anger distorts speech and judgment; dharma requires self-control, especially in disputes involving teachers and sacred acts.
After being rebuked by the sages, the king persists and speaks again, while the atmosphere is charged with anger.
Implicitly, the need for kṣamā and dama (patience and restraint), since anger leads toward adharma.
