पुत्रजन्मोत्सवः — Birth of the Princes and Viśvāmitra’s Arrival
Bālakāṇḍa 18
अथ राजा दशरथस्तेषां दारक्रियां प्रति।।।।चिन्तयामास धर्मात्मा सोपाध्यायस्सबान्धव:।
atha rājā daśarathas teṣāṃ dārakriyāṃ prati | cintayāmāsa dharmātmā sopādhyāyaḥ sabāndhavaḥ ||
于是,具德行的达沙拉陀王与祭司及亲族同在,开始思量为他们筹办婚事之事。
They (like) tigers among men, were fond of the study of the Vedas and were alwaysengaged in the service of their parents. They were also proficient in the science of archery.
Dharma is shown as decision-making through proper counsel—marriage is treated as a sacred social duty, arranged with priests and family, not by impulse.
After the princes come of age and display virtues, Daśaratha begins planning their marriages.
Daśaratha’s prudence and adherence to tradition—consultative leadership aligned with dharma.
