Bālakāṇḍa 18
स चतुर्भिर्महाभागै:पुत्रैर्दशरथ: प्रियै:।।।।बभूव परमप्रीतो देवैरिव पितामह:।
sa caturbhir mahābhāgaiḥ putrair daśarathaḥ priyaiḥ | babhūva paramaprīto devair iva pitāmahaḥ ||
达沙罗陀与四位福德具足、挚爱的王子同在,心中极其欢悦,犹如祖父梵天见诸天而欣喜。
With his very fortunate sons, Dasaratha was highly pleased like Brahma was with the gods.
A king’s dharma includes nurturing virtuous heirs; the verse frames Daśaratha’s joy as grounded in the righteous prosperity of his lineage.
After describing the brothers’ mutual affection, the narrative highlights Daśaratha’s happiness at having four excellent sons.
