Bālakāṇḍa 18
sarve vedavidaḥ śūrāḥ sarve lokahite ratāḥ ||
sarve jñānopasampannāḥ sarve samuditā guṇaiḥ ||
All the sons (of Dasaratha) became well-versed in the Vedas. They were heroic, endowed with knowledge and virtues and were devoted to the welfare of the people.
Dharma for leaders combines learning, courage, and public welfare: knowledge is not isolated scholarship but must serve loka-hita.
The narrator summarizes the upbringing and qualities shared by all four princes as they grow.
A balanced excellence—learning, bravery, wisdom, and commitment to the common good.
