Daśaratha’s orders for Rama’s escort; Kaikeyi’s fear; the Asamañjasa precedent
dhānyakośaś ca yaḥ kaś cid dhanakośaś ca māmakaḥ | tau rāmam anugacchetāṃ vasantaṃ nirjane vane ||
Let the entire contents of my granary and treasury follow Rama wherever he lives in the desolate forest.
It highlights the dharmic obligation of care and support for one undertaking hardship—resources should be used to uphold duty and wellbeing, not merely to display power.
Plans are being made regarding how Rāma will live in the forest; the verse speaks of sending wealth and provisions after him.
Administrative responsibility and foresight—ensuring that a righteous course (exile) is practically sustained.
