Gifts to Suyajna and the Brahmins; Trijata’s Petition and Rama’s Charity
इत्युक्त्वा दुःखितं सर्वं जनं तमुपजीविनम्।।।।उवाचेदं धनाध्यक्षं धनमानीयतामिति।
ity uktvā duḥkhitaṃ sarvaṃ janaṃ tam upajīvinam | uvācedaṃ dhanādhyakṣaṃ dhanam ānīyatām iti ||
他如此安慰了所有悲伤的依附者后,罗摩对掌管国库的官员说道:“把财宝取来。”
Having spoken thus to all dependents who were overcome with grief, Rama ordered the treasury officer to bring the entire treasure.
Dharma is prompt generosity aligned with responsibility—Rāma acts decisively to support dependents and fulfill charitable obligations.
After consoling and instructing his dependents, Rāma initiates a larger distribution by summoning the treasury wealth.
Rāma’s readiness to renounce and give—he treats wealth as a means for duty, not personal attachment.
