सीताया वनगमननिश्चयः
Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest
फलमूलाशना नित्यं भविष्यामि न संशयः।न ते दुःखं करिष्यामि निवसन्ती सह त्वया।।।।
phalamūlāśanā nityaṃ bhaviṣyāmi na saṃśayaḥ |
na te duḥkhaṃ kariṣyāmi nivasantī saha tvayā ||
毋庸置疑:我将恒常以果实与根茎为食。与您同住之时,我绝不成为您的负担与苦恼之因。
Living with you sans fear, O my sagacious husband, I wish to see the rivers, mountains, lakes and forests here and there.
Voluntary austerity and non-burdening others: Dharma includes adapting oneself to hardship so that one’s chosen duty does not harm companions.
Sītā answers the practical objection that she may not endure forest conditions, assuring Rāma of her capability.
Endurance (titikṣā) and considerate love—she promises simplicity and responsibility in shared exile.
