Proposal for Rāma’s Installation as Heir-Apparent
तमेवंगुणसम्पन्नं रामं सत्यपराक्रमम्।लोकपालोपमं नाथमकामयत मेदिनी।।2.2.48।।
tam evaṃ guṇasampannaṃ rāmaṃ satyaparākramam | lokapālopamaṃ nātham akāmayata medinī || 2.2.48 ||
大地本身渴望罗摩为其主宰——德行圆满,勇武经证,堪比护世诸天。
Gandharvas, uragas, devas, asuras, the inhabitants of towns and villages, all men living in neighbouring or distant regions are wish the illustrious Rama strength, health and long life.
A righteous ruler is one whose virtues and satya-backed prowess make him a natural protector of the world—so fitting that even the Earth is poetically said to desire his lordship.
Rama is being praised as uniquely qualified for rulership, strengthening the case for his installation as heir-apparent.
Guṇa-sampatti (completeness of virtues) joined with satya-parākrama—valor that is reliable, righteous, and publicly recognized.
