पादुकाप्रदानं भरतस्य निवृत्तिश्च
The Sandals Bestowed; Bharata’s Return Toward Ayodhya
एते प्रयच्छ संहृष्टः पादुके हेमभूषिते।अयोध्यायां महाप्राज्ञ योगक्षेमकरे तव।।।।
ete prayaccha saṃhṛṣṭaḥ pāduke hemabhūṣite | ayodhyāyāṃ mahāprājña yogakṣemakare tava ||
至睿者啊,请欣然赐下这双金饰之履,使其代你护持阿踰陀之安泰与福祉。
O extremely sagacious one, bestow with pleasure your sandals decked with gold for security and safety of Ayodhya.
Rajadharma with integrity: governance must continue for the people’s welfare, even when the rightful king is absent—through a dharmic symbol of authority.
Vasiṣṭha proposes that Rāma’s sandals be installed/used as a royal symbol to safeguard Ayodhyā while Rāma remains in exile.
Practical wisdom—uniting moral principle with administrative stability (yogakṣema).
