अयोध्याकाण्डे एकादशोत्तरशततमः सर्गः
Sarga 111: Counsel on Gurus, Parental Debt, and Bharata’s Protest
अनेन धर्मशीलेन वनात्प्रत्यागतः पुनः।भ्रात्रा सह भविष्यामि पृथिव्याः पतिरुत्तमः।।।।
anena dharmaśīlena vanāt pratyāgataḥ punaḥ | bhrātrā saha bhaviṣyāmi pṛthivyāḥ patir uttamaḥ ||
当我再度自林中归来时,我将与这位奉行正法的兄弟同在,成为此大地最尊贵的君主。
On returning from the forest, I shall become the supreme lord of this earth along with this virtuous brother.
Rāma frames kingship as dharma-governed and time-bound by vow: rightful rule is not seized immediately but accepted only after completing the forest-obligation, and it must be shared in harmony with a virtuous brother.
During the Bharata–Rāma encounter, Rāma explains that after returning from exile he will assume rulership, explicitly associating Bharata with righteous participation rather than rivalry.
Trust in fraternal integrity and commitment to dharma: Rāma acknowledges Bharata’s virtue (dharmaśīla) and imagines governance grounded in mutual righteousness.
