考萨利娅王后见悲恸的罗摩为父亲将供品置于地上,便开口说话,向达沙罗陀的诸位王妃一同陈述。
Seeing the pinda (edible offering made to the departed soul) placed on the ground for his father by the distressed Rama, queen Kausalya, addressing all the wives of Dasaratha, said:
Dharma persists even in grief: Rāma performs duty to his father, and Kausalyā frames the moment as communal responsibility among the queens.
The narrator sets the scene: Kausalyā, after seeing Rāma’s funeral offering for Daśaratha, begins to speak to the other queens.
Rāma’s dutifulness under sorrow and Kausalyā’s leadership in guiding the family’s response.
