Bharata Affirms Lineage-Dharma and Urges Rama’s Coronation
निष्क्रान्तमात्रे भवति ससीते सहलक्ष्मणे।दुःखशोकाभिभूतस्तु राजा त्रिदिवमभ्यगात्।।2.101.6।।
niṣkrāntamātre bhavati sasīte sahalakṣmaṇe | duḥkhaśokābhibhūtas tu rājā tridivam abhyagāt || 2.101.6 ||
你方才启程——与悉多和罗什曼那同行——国王被忧愁悲痛所压倒,遂升往诸天之天界。
As soon as you set out for the forest along with Sita and Lakshmana, the king, overwhelmed with grief, attained heaven.
Dharma-bound choices can still bring intense personal suffering; the epic highlights the human cost borne by families when duty is upheld.
Bharata explains that Daśaratha died almost immediately after Rama departed for exile with Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa.
