The Greatness of the Ancestors: Ekoddiṣṭa Śrāddha, Āśauca Rules, and Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa

ततः संवत्सरे पूर्णे सपिंडीकरणं भवेत् । सपिंडीकरणादूर्द्ध्वं प्रेतः पार्वणभुग्यतः

tataḥ saṃvatsare pūrṇe sapiṃḍīkaraṇaṃ bhavet | sapiṃḍīkaraṇādūrddhvaṃ pretaḥ pārvaṇabhugyataḥ

其后,满一年之时,当行合团祭(sapiṇḍīkaraṇa)。自此之后,亡灵(preta)便有资格在定期的祖祭(pārvaṇa-śrāddha)中享受祖先供品。
