It teaches that tīrtha-snana (ritual bathing at a sacred site) combined with devoted liṅga-pūjā generates exceptional puṇya, culminating in siddhi—spiritual accomplishment experienced even in embodied life.
Bhakti is expressed here through repeated, reverential worship (pūjā) of the liṅga at a consecrated tīrtha; the emphasis is on sustained devotion and surrender, not mere travel to the holy place.
Ritual practice is foregrounded: proper sequencing of snāna followed by pūjā (a kalpa-oriented, procedural dharma), indicating that correct observance and repetition are integral to tīrtha-ritual efficacy.
