Tīrtha-vidhi (Procedure for Holy Places) — Prayāgarāja-māhātmya
उद्यतश्चेद्गयां गंतुं श्राद्धं कृत्वा विधानतः । विधाय कार्पटीवेषं कृत्वा ग्रामप्रदक्षिणाम् ॥ २९ ॥
udyataścedgayāṃ gaṃtuṃ śrāddhaṃ kṛtvā vidhānataḥ | vidhāya kārpaṭīveṣaṃ kṛtvā grāmapradakṣiṇām || 29 ||
若有人正准备前往伽耶(Gayā),则应先依仪轨如法行施祖祭(Śrāddha),继而披上行乞修行者(kārpaṭī)的装束,并绕村右行作环绕礼(pradakṣiṇā)。
