The Greatness of Puruṣottama

गृहाणाचमनीयं त्वं मया भक्त्या निवेदितम् । त्वमापः पृथिवी चैव ज्योतिस्त्वं वायुरेव च ॥ ३१ ॥
gṛhāṇācamanīyaṃ tvaṃ mayā bhaktyā niveditam | tvamāpaḥ pṛthivī caiva jyotistvaṃ vāyureva ca || 31 ||
请受我以虔爱(bhakti)奉上的漱饮之水(ācamanīya)。唯有祢即是诸水与大地;祢是光明(火),祢也确是清风。
Devotee/Priest addressing Lord Vishnu (Hari) during pūjā (as narrated within the Uttara-Bhāga tirtha-mahātmya context).
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that even a small ritual act like offering ācamanīya becomes profound when done with bhakti, because the Lord is present as the very elements that constitute the offering.
Bhakti is shown as heartfelt offering: the devotee offers water with reverence, while recognizing Vishnu as the immanent reality—water, earth, light, and wind—thus uniting worship (upacāra) with inner understanding.
Ritual procedure (kalpa-prayoga style) is implied through the upacāra of ācamanīya—purificatory sipping/offering used in pūjā—showing correct liturgical sequencing and purity practice.
