瓦西什塔说道:随后,王后摩希尼听闻了能灭罪之恒河的至上功德,又再次对家族祭司开口。
Vasiṣṭha
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames Gaṅgā as a uniquely purifying tīrtha whose māhātmya (sacred glory) inspires renewed inquiry and practice, setting the stage for further instruction on pilgrimage-based merit (puṇya) and sin-removal (pāpa-kṣaya).
By highlighting attentive hearing (śravaṇa) of Gaṅgā’s greatness, it echoes a bhakti-mode approach where faith grows through listening to sacred narratives, leading one to seek guidance from a qualified authority (purohita) for devotional observances connected with the tīrtha.
The verse emphasizes traditional ritual authority and procedure via the role of the purohita, implying applied Kalpa (ritual practice) and Dharmaśāstra-guided conduct for tīrtha-related acts such as snāna, dāna, and vrata.
