Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames the forthcoming instruction as śreyas—universal spiritual welfare—and establishes that true spiritual authorities are to be revered without partiality, removing doubt about whom to honor.
Bhakti is supported by humility and proper reverence; by honoring worthy teachers/sages equally, the devotee cultivates purity and receptivity to teachings that lead toward devotion and right living.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Śikṣā) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is dhārmic discipline—proper conduct in honoring spiritual preceptors before receiving instruction.
