The Description of Mārkaṇḍeya
दैवे युगसहस्रे द्वे ब्राह्मः कल्पौ तु तौ नृणाम् । एकसप्ततिसंख्यातैर्दिव्यैर्मन्वन्तरं युगैः ॥ २७ ॥
daive yugasahasre dve brāhmaḥ kalpau tu tau nṛṇām | ekasaptatisaṃkhyātairdivyairmanvantaraṃ yugaiḥ || 27 ||
两千个天界劫期（神圣 yuga）合为梵天之劫（Brāhma‑kalpa），以人间之算法而言；而一“摩奴期”（manvantara）则以七十一这样的天界劫期为量。
