The Pañcarātra Vow (Haripañcaka Vrata): Observance from Śukla Ekādaśī to Pūrṇimā
नमस्ते सर्वरूपाय सर्वसिद्धिप्रदायिने । एवं प्रणम्य देवेशं वासुदेवं जनार्दनम् ॥ ९ ॥
namaste sarvarūpāya sarvasiddhipradāyine | evaṃ praṇamya deveśaṃ vāsudevaṃ janārdanam || 9 ||
敬礼于汝,具一切形相者,赐一切成就(siddhi)者。如此顶礼诸天之主——婆苏提婆(Vāsudeva)、阇那尔达那(Janārdana)——并献上恭敬。
Narada
Vrata: Ekādaśī-vrata (contextual continuation)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It establishes Vāsudeva as the all-pervading Lord (sarvarūpa) and the ultimate grantor of spiritual attainments (sarvasiddhiprada), making humble praṇāma the proper starting point for dharma and liberation-oriented practice.
Bhakti is shown through stuti and surrender: the devotee recognizes God in all forms and approaches Him with reverent bowing, trusting that all true siddhis—especially inner purification and God-realization—arise from His grace.
The verse highlights prayoga (practical application) of mantra-like praise and the ritual act of praṇāma in worship; it is aligned with śikṣā (proper recitation) and kalpa-style devotional procedure, though no technical Vedāṅga doctrine is explicitly taught in this line.
