Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames the coming teaching as a single, decisive sādhana that fulfills all four puruṣārthas, emphasizing that what pleases Viṣṇu is the highest spiritual criterion and the source of true accomplishment.
By describing the practice as “dear to Viṣṇu” and “granting all attainments,” the verse signals bhakti-centered discipline—pleasing the Lord—as the most direct and comprehensive path for human welfare and liberation.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Śikṣā) is taught in this verse; it functions as an introductory promise (upakrama) that the forthcoming instruction will be an effective, results-oriented sādhana.
