Vāmana’s Advent, Aditi’s Hymn, Bali’s Gift, and the Mahatmya of Bhū-dāna
यत्र पूजापरो विष्णोर्वह्निस्तत्र न बाधते । राजा वा तस्करो वापि व्याधयश्च न सन्ति हि ॥ ७ ॥
yatra pūjāparo viṣṇorvahnistatra na bādhate | rājā vā taskaro vāpi vyādhayaśca na santi hi || 7 ||
凡有专心礼拜毗湿奴之处,火灾不能为害;王权与盗贼亦不侵扰,疾病确实不在其间。
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents Viṣṇu-bhakti as a protective spiritual power (rakṣā) that removes major sources of fear—calamity, social threat, and bodily illness—where sincere worship is established.
Bhakti is shown not merely as belief but as steady pūjā-paratā (single-minded dedication to worship), which naturally brings peace, safety, and well-being as fruits of devotion to Viṣṇu.
The verse aligns with ritual practice (kalpa) in emphasizing pūjā as a disciplined observance; it also implies household and temple fire-safety through dharmic conduct, though it does not detail a specific Vedāṅga technique.
