Adhyaya 88 — The Manifestation of the Matrikas and the Slaying of Raktabija
स पपात महीपृष्ठे शस्त्रसंहतितो हतः ।
नीरक्तश्च महीपाल रक्तबीजो महासुरः ॥
sa papāta mahīpṛṣṭhe śastrasaṃhatito hataḥ | nīraktaś ca mahīpāla raktabījo mahāsuraḥ ||
在众多兵器的合击之下,他被杀而仆倒于大地之上。大王啊,那大阿修罗罗多毗阇横卧其间,血已被尽数吸尽。
The verse emphasizes inevitability of karmic resolution: when the sustaining fuel of adharmic power is removed (here, blood/seed), collapse follows—symbolizing the fall of entrenched vice once its support is cut off.
It is part of manvantara-embedded sacred history (manvantara/vaṃśānucarita style narration) illustrating dharma’s protection through divine intervention.
‘Bloodless’ indicates exhaustion of rājasika drive; the demon’s fall to earth symbolizes grounding and dissolution of inflated ego back into prakṛti when its propulsive energy is mastered.
