Adhyaya 72 — The Reconciliation Rite, Sarasvati Sacrifice, and the Birth of Uttama Manu (Auttama Manvantara Prelude)
उपकारः कृतो वीर ! भवता यो ममाधुना ।
तेनास्म्याकृष्टहृदया यद्ब्रवीमि शृणुष्व तत् ॥
upakāraḥ kṛto vīra! bhavatā yo mamādhunā | tenāsmy ākṛṣṭa-hṛdayā yad bravīmi śṛṇuṣva tat ||
“噢,英雄啊,你方才施于我的慈惠,使我心向于你。因此,请听我将要说的话。”
Reciprocity (kṛtajñatā) is treated as a dharmic obligation: benefaction generates a moral impulse to return good, here expressed as a boon/prophetic assurance.
Vaṃśānucarita: interpersonal dharma in royal narrative leading to the rise of a dynastic figure (future Manu).
The ‘drawn heart’ signals a binding of destinies; in Purāṇic symbolism, sincere relational bonds become conduits for fate-altering knowledge (jñāna/vara).
