इति श्रीमार्कण्डेयपुराणे गङ्गावतारो नाम षट्पञ्चाशोऽध्यायः ।
सप्तपञ्चाशोऽध्यायः- ५७ ।
क्रौष्टुकिरुवाच भगवन् ! कथितन्त्वेतज्जम्बूद्वीपं समासतः ।
यदेतद्भवता प्रोक्तं कर्म नान्यत्र पुण्यदम् ॥
