Adhyaya 56 — The Descent and Fourfold Course of the Ganga; Jambudvipa’s Varshas and Their Conditions
गत्वा भुवं समासाद्य भद्राश्वाज्जलधिं गता ।
तथैवालकनन्दाख्या दक्षिणे गन्धमादने ॥
gatvā bhuvaṃ samāsādya bhadrāśvājjaladhiṃ gatā /
tathaivālakanandākhyā dakṣiṇe gandhamādane
抵达大地之后，她从跋陀罗阿湿婆（Bhadrāśva）流向大海。同样地，在南方的甘陀摩达那（Gandhamādana），那一支流被称为阿罗迦难陀（Alakanandā）。
