Adhyaya 52 — The Manifestation of Nilalohita (Rudra) and the Allocation of His Names, Abodes, Consorts, and Lineages
bhavaṁ śarvaṁ tatheśānaṁ tathā paśupatiṁ prabhuḥ / bhīmam ugraṁ mahādevam uvāca sa pitāmahaḥ

Multiple names indicate multiple functions: lordship (Īśāna), guardianship over beings (Paśupati), awe-inspiring transformation (Bhīma/Ugra), and benevolent greatness (Mahādeva).
Sarga: naming and functional differentiation of a cosmic principle into an organized set.
The eightfold Rudra schema maps Śiva’s presence across cosmic layers; epithets act as ‘handles’ for meditation, each drawing forth a distinct experiential register of the same reality.
