The passage acknowledges disorder in social harmony (virodha), mental steadiness (bhrama), and bodily rhythms (ṛtu), encouraging remedial discipline and protective observances.
It is outside the five hallmark topics; it functions as practical dharma/śānti guidance embedded in Purāṇic teaching.
These ‘kanyās’ can be interpreted as personified forces that disturb will (niyojikā), relationships (virodhinī), self-preservation (svayaṃhārakarī), cognition (bhrāmaṇī), and fertility/seasonality (ṛtuhārikā).
