Ritual efficacy is heightened by both worthy recipients (qualified brāhmaṇas) and liminal cosmic events (eclipses, transitions). The verse teaches discernment: choose times and persons that maximize dharmic impact.
Ācāra/karma-kāṇḍa guidance; tangentially connected to cosmic order (kāla) but not a pancalakṣaṇa narrative unit.
Eclipses and transitional points represent ‘thresholds’ where ordinary order is suspended; offerings at such times are understood to penetrate subtler planes more strongly, linking ancestors, time, and cosmic regulation.
