जनि>यै कथयामास सैरन्ध्री रोदितीति च । ब्राह्मणेन सहागम्य तां वेद यदि मन्यसे,उसने अपनी मातासे जाकर कहा--'माँ! सैरन्ध्री एक ब्राह्मणसे मिलकर बहुत रो रही है। यदि तुम ठीक समझो तो इसका कारण जाननेकी चेष्टा करो”
jñātvā kathayāmāsa sairandhrī roditīti ca | brāhmaṇena sahāgamya tāṃ veda yadi manyase ||
得知此事后，他前去禀告：“母后，侍女赛兰陀丽与一位婆罗门相见后，哭得十分凄切。若您以为妥当，请设法探明缘由。”此言体现了谨守法度的审慎：行事之前，当以含蓄与慈悲探问他人之苦。
