Educational Q&A

The verse highlights that power and weapon-skill are ethically framed by nobility of purpose: the warriors are praised not only as strong (vīryavantau) but also as high-souled (mahātmānau), implying that martial capacity is most commendable when aligned with righteous intent and disciplined conduct.

Vaiśampāyana continues listing notable allies and champions present for the coming conflict, naming the two Pāñcāla heroes Yudhāmanyu and Uttamaujā and describing them as top-tier chariot-warriors equipped with mace and bow.
