Adhyāya 195 — Arjuna’s Capability and Restraint Regarding Divyāstras

ततः पुनरनीकानि न््ययोजयत बुद्धिमान । मोहयन् धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्राणां बुद्धिनिश्चयम्
tataḥ punar anīkāni nyayojayat buddhimān | mohayan dhṛtarāṣṭrasya putrāṇāṃ buddhi-niścayam ||
随后,那位睿智的国王又一次调度重整诸军阵列;以此有意之举,欲使持国之子们既定的谋略决断动摇迷乱。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in war, intelligence and disciplined organization can be ethically significant: leadership involves clear judgment and strategic action that reduces the opponent’s harmful resolve without needless escalation. The verse highlights prudence (buddhi) as a form of power.
Yudhiṣṭhira, after moving a short distance, reorganizes his forces again. This tactical redeployment is intended to confuse the Kauravas’ settled plans and weaken their confidence and coordination.
