भीष्म–जामदग्न्यसंवादः (Amba-prasaṅga and Kurukṣetra Dvandva Declaration) / Bhishma–Jamadagnya Dialogue
चत्वारस्तेन मे वाहा: सूतश्वचैव विशाम्पते | प्रतिरुद्धास्तथैवाहं समरे दंशित: स्थित:
catvāras tena me vāhāḥ sūtaśvaś caiva viśāmpate | pratiruddhās tathaivāhaṃ samare daṃśitaḥ sthitaḥ | ācāryatā mānitā me nirmadayi hāpi tvayi | bhūyaś ca śṛṇu me brahman sampadaṃ dharmasaṅgrahe ||
因此，噢，众民之主，我有四匹骏马；在战阵拥挤的逼迫之中，我的御者与马匹被勒住不前，而我披甲执兵，镇定而立。纵然你已弃却自制，我仍一向以师礼敬你。如今，噢，婆罗门，请再听我一遍：我对那真正的“财富”——即守护并汇聚达摩之财——所持的坚定见解。
