भीष्म–जामदग्न्यसंवादः (Amba-prasaṅga and Kurukṣetra Dvandva Declaration) / Bhishma–Jamadagnya Dialogue
ये ते वेदा: शरीरस्था ब्राह्माण्यं यच्च ते महत् । तपश्च ते महत् तप्तं न तेभ्य: प्रहराम्यहम्
ye te vedāḥ śarīrasthā brāhmaṇyaṁ yac ca te mahat | tapaś ca te mahat taptaṁ na tebhyaḥ praharāmy aham ||
罗摩说道：“住在你身中的吠陀、你崇高的婆罗门位分，以及你所修行的广大苦行——对这些，我不以箭相向。出于对圣学与苦行功德的敬畏，我不会以有损一位最上婆罗门应得荣誉的方式击你。”
