स मे तस्मिन् रणे पूर्व प्राहरत् कड्कपत्रिभि: | षष्ट्या शतैश्ष नवभि: शराणां नतपर्वणाम्
sa me tasmin raṇe pūrvaṁ prāharat kaṅkapatribhiḥ | ṣaṣṭyā śataiś ca navabhiḥ śarāṇāṁ nataparvaṇām ||
罗摩说道：在那场战斗中，是他先向我出手，以九百六十支箭矢如雨倾泻——箭羽饰以兀鹫之翎，箭身关节弯曲相接。由此他率先发动攻势，定下公开交战的基调：在此，先机与克制同样都是对武士之法（达摩）的考验。
