Ambā Seeks Refuge with Rāma Jāmadagnya
अथापगेयं भीष्म त्वं रामेणेच्छसि धीमता । रणे विनिर्जिति द्रष्टं कुर्यात् तदपि भार्गव:,अथवा यदि तुम गंगानन्दन भीष्मको बुद्धिमान् परशुरामजीके द्वारा युद्धमें पराजित देखना चाहती हो तो वे महात्मा भार्गव यह भी कर सकते हैं
athāpageyaṃ bhīṣma tvaṃ rāmeṇecchasi dhīmatā | raṇe vinirjiti draṣṭuṃ kuryāt tad api bhārgavaḥ ||
“又或者,若你愿见恒河之子毗湿摩在战场上被睿智的罗摩(帕拉修罗摩)所击败,那位伟大的婆罗伽婆也同样能做到。”
अकृतव्रण उवाच
The verse underscores the awe inspired by extraordinary martial prowess and the idea that even the seemingly unassailable can be challenged; it also hints at the ethical tension between reverence for great elders/teachers and the harsh necessities of conflict.
Akṛtavraṇa remarks that if one desires to witness Bhīṣma being defeated in battle, Paraśurāma—renowned as the Bhārgava hero—has the capability to bring about such a defeat, foreshadowing or recalling the famed confrontation between them.
