我曾前去拜见并禀告毗湿摩——恒河之子、战阵中从不退转者——得其允准;正凭这份许可,我怀着炽烈的急切来到此处。
भीष्म उवाच
Even in urgent or emotionally charged situations, one should act within dharmic boundaries—seeking guidance and permission from legitimate elders/authorities. The verse also praises the ideal of steadfastness in righteous battle (anivartitva), embodied by Bhīṣma.
A female speaker reports that she consulted Bhīṣma (Gāṅgeya), famed for never retreating in war, obtained his consent, and then came here with great eagerness. The statement frames her arrival as sanctioned and procedurally proper.
