na sa bhīṣmo mahābāhur mām icchati viśāmpate | bhrātṛ-hetoḥ samārambho bhīṣmasyeti śrutaṃ mayā ||
毗湿摩说道:“噢,万民之主,那位臂力无双的毗湿摩并不求娶于我。我听说,毗湿摩此番举动乃是为了他的弟弟——为弟弟筹办婚事而作的努力。”
भीष्म उवाच

In the Udyoga Parva’s diplomatic and preparatory context, Bhishma is quoted as clarifying (or reporting what he has heard) that Bhishma does not seek “me” personally; rather, his enterprise was undertaken for his brother’s sake, specifically connected with arranging a marriage alliance.
