Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes acceptance and release: once events have unfolded, one should not cling to further self-inflicted suffering. Dharma is honored not only by endurance but also by knowing when the moral trial has reached its completion, allowing one to receive the rightful fruit—here, the ‘imperishable worlds’ earned through steadfastness.

In the Svargārohaṇa (ascent to heaven) sequence, Yudhiṣṭhira is being addressed and reassured that he has attained exalted, imperishable realms. He is urged to stop further hardship and to proceed onward with the divine companions guiding him toward his final destination.
