दाशार्हेणाभ्यनुज्ञातस्तत्र धौम्य: पुरोहित: । प्रागुदक्प्रवर्णां वेदीं लक्षणेनोपलिख्य च
vaiśampāyana uvāca | dāśārheṇābhyanujñātas tatra dhaumyaḥ purohitaḥ | prāgudakpravṛṇāṃ vedīṃ lakṣaṇenopalikhya ca ||
毗舍波耶那说:“得达沙尔诃(圣克里希那)许可,祭司陀乌弥亚便在彼处依照规定的征兆划定祭坛,使其坡势朝向东方与北方。”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes dharmic order: even powerful figures act through proper authorization and prescribed ritual procedure, showing that legitimacy and ethical restraint are maintained by adherence to rule (vidhi) and sacred protocol.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that, after Śrī Kṛṣṇa grants permission, the priest Dhaumya formally outlines a sacrificial altar with the correct orientation and markings, initiating the setup for a Vedic rite.
