Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: etad dhayaśiro rājann ākhyānaṃ tava kīrtitam | purāṇaṃ vedasamitaṃ yan māṃ tvaṃ paripṛcchasi ||
毗舍摩波耶那说道：“大王啊，你所询问的那段关于海耶格利瓦的古老传说——与吠陀相应、为吠陀所印可——我已为你叙述完毕。你所求的那一脉尊贵而合乎吠陀的传统，至此已尽数宣说。”
