Adhyāya 325: Nārada in Śvetadvīpa—Stotra to the Nirguṇa Mahātman
वश्येन्द्रियो जितक्रोधो न हृष्पति न कुप्यति । परंतु अरणिसम्भव शुकदेवजीका अन्तःकरण पूर्णतः शुद्ध था। वे इन्द्रियों और क्रोधपर विजय पा चुके थे। उन्हें न तो किसी बातपर हर्ष होता था और न वे किसीपर क्रोध ही करते थे। उनके मनमें किसी प्रकारका संदेह नहीं था और वे सदा अपने कर्तव्यका पालन किया करते थे
vaśyendriyo jitakrodho na hṛṣyati na kupyati |
毗湿摩说道：能摄伏诸根、降伏嗔怒之人，既不狂喜，亦不暴怒。在此处，舒迦提婆——由阿罗尼而生者——被描绘为内心全然清净：已制御感官与忿怒，心无疑惑，恒常守持自身之义务与法（dharma）。
