Saṃhāra-krama (The Sequence of Cosmic Dissolution) — Yājñavalkya’s Discourse
यस्तु तिक्ठतति कौन्तेय धारणासु यथाविधि । मरणं जन्म दु:खं च सुखं च स विमुज्चति,कुन्तीनन्दन! जो विधिपूर्वक योगकी धारणाओंमें स्थिर रहता है, वह जन्म, मृत्यु, दुःख और सुखके बन्धनोंसे छुटकारा पा जाता है
yas tu tiṣṭhati kaunteya dhāraṇāsu yathāvidhi | maraṇaṁ janma duḥkhaṁ ca sukhaṁ ca sa vimucyati ||
毗湿摩说道:“昆蒂之子啊,凡依正法而于瑜伽之持念定摄(dhāraṇā)中安住坚固者,便能解脱生死之系缚,亦脱离忧苦与欢乐的牵制。”
भीष्म उवाच
Steadiness in properly prescribed dhāraṇā (yogic concentration) leads to liberation: one is freed from the binding power of birth and death and from being driven by pleasure and pain.
In the Shanti Parva’s instruction section, Bhishma continues advising Yudhishthira (addressed as Kaunteya) on spiritual discipline; here he highlights yogic concentration practiced according to rule as a means to transcend worldly dualities.
