The verse presents the ethical ideal of rājadharma: when a ruler governs in accordance with dharma, the result is public welfare—health, security, and the fulfillment of legitimate human aims. The king’s just administration is portrayed as directly linked to social harmony and prosperity.
Vāyudeva describes the condition of the world under Rāma’s reign: for immensely long periods, people remained disease-free and fully provided for, emphasizing the exemplary nature of Rāma’s governance as a model of righteous kingship.
