अध्याय २५६ — श्रद्धा, अहिंसा, स्पर्धा-त्यागः
Tūlādhāra–Jājali: Faith, Non-harm, and Renunciation of Rivalry
तव तेजोडग्निना देव प्रजा दहान्ति सर्वश: । ता दृष्टवा मम कारुण्यं मा कुप्यासां जगत्प्रभो,देव! जगदीश्वर! आज आपकी क्रोधाग्निसे सारी प्रजाएँ दग्ध हो रही हैं। उन्हें उस अवस्थामें देखकर मुझे दया आती है, आप उनपर क्रोध न करें
nārada uvāca | tava tejo'gninā deva prajā dahanti sarvaśaḥ | tā dṛṣṭvā mama kāruṇyaṃ mā kupyāsāṃ jagatprabho deva jagadīśvara |
那罗陀说道:“噢,神啊!因你炽盛威光之火,众生四方皆被焚烧。见他们如此境况,我心生悲悯。噢,世间之主,噢,宇宙的神圣统御者——请勿对他们发怒。”
नारद उवाच
Even supreme power must be governed by compassion and restraint; the suffering of beings calls for mercy rather than anger, especially from one who is responsible for the welfare of the world.
Nārada addresses the divine lord, observing that the lord’s fiery energy (symbolizing wrath or overwhelming power) is burning all creatures, and he pleads that the lord desist from anger out of compassion for the afflicted beings.
