न कर्म भविताप्येतत्‌ कृतं मम शतक्रतो । ऋद्धिर्वाउप्यथवा नर्द्धि: पर्यायकृतमेव तत्‌

Transliteration

śakra uvāca | na karma bhavitāpy etat kṛtaṃ mama śatakrato | ṛddhir vāpy athavā narddhiḥ paryāyakṛtam eva tat, śatakrato |

Translation

“噢，百祭主（Śatakratu）！此举并非真可谓由我为作者。于我今之境，凡由此身所起之行，皆不可称为‘我自为之’，以自主之义而言。富与贫、盈与乏，依命运轮转之次第，轮番临于一切众生。”
